Ruby Sampson is a womenswear fashion utility brand with storytelling prints, flattering garments and silk lined hair accessories. We design textiles, apparel and hair accessories for the US black haircare market. We exist to bridge the grooming gap for textured-hair women and build time equity so that you can devote energy to what matters. Our custom prints allow us to minimize waste and carefully select high grade silk and satin, to the exact quantity. Our brand is made in the USA and Guyana, supporting our local economies with fair, ethical wages.

Duties:

• Receive fabric and confirm inventory count
• Reference sketches, photos and fabric swatches to produce accurate final garments and accessories
• Cut fabric according to patterns (provided)
• Sew garments according to size, color and material type
• Affix notions and labels
• Record final inventory before hand off
• Coordinate transfer of products with Head Seamstress and/or local agents
• Communicate availability and ability to meet deadlines 

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience sewing commercial, ready to wear garments and accessories 
• 2 references of past or current clients
• Certificate in garment making preferred but not required
